Introduction of E-Syariah
E-Syariah is the seventh-Government project under Flagship Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). It is an integrated case management system that integrates all the processes involved in the handling of cases of the Syariah Court. Electronic network that connects the State Syariah Courts with Department of Syariah Judiciary Malaysia (JKSM) and related agencies created for the purpose of coordination and information sharing.
E-Syariah will bring change and reform to the operation of the Syariah Court. It will also streamline the case management as well as to streamline the process of handling the Syariah Lawyers registration. Daily business operation could be enhanced through the use of Office Automation System and Library Management System JKSM through simplified books and library materials ordering process for the Judges and the Registrar of the Syariah Court reference. E-Syariah Portal provide information about the court procedures, current rules and case status enquiries. Faraid calculation can also be made electronically.
Objectives
1. Improving the quality of service of the Syariah Court;
2. Improving the effectiveness of JKSM in coordinating and monitoring agencies under this department;
3. Increase productivity and efficiency of management in the Syariah Court throughout the country;
4. Upholding the symbols of Islam through the use of ICT.
Applications of E-Syariah
Applications of E-Syariah include Syariah Court Case Management System, Office Automation Systems, E-Syariah Portal, Syariah Lawyers Registration System and Library Management System. This system will also provide a facility for providing information to the concerned government agencies.
